RATTAWU Radio Kogi Chapter Constitutes New Exco : I will Operate an Open Door Policy says Comrade Isaac Duguma

New Executives for the Radio Television, Theatre and Arts Workers Union, RATTAWU, Radio Kogi Chapter have been charged to be supportive of Government policies and programmes.

Director-General, Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation, Lokoja Alhaji Ojo Oyila Ozovehe gave the charge at the Congress of the body in Lokoja.

He said the charge became imperative in view of the need for continued synergy between Unions/Associations and the government.

Earlier in her remark, the State Chairperson of RATTAWU, Comrade Habibat Umar-Ibrahim urged the would be winners to be magnanimous in victory and carried members of the Union along in running the affairs of the body.

In her speech, the immediate past Chairperson of Radio Kogi Chapter of RATTAWU, Comrade Memuna Maryann Egli, (CNA), said the Union among other things constructed security iron bar at the Corporation gate, orientation for new Staff, organise prayer sessions for God’s protection and welfare scheme for its members among others.

She expressed appreciation to the DG of the Corporation, Alhaji Ojo Oyila Ozovehe for his support, Comrade Habibat Umar-Ibrahim and all members for thier supportive roles during his tenure.

In his acceptance speech, the new Radio Kogi RATTAWU Chairman, Comrade Isaac Duguma promised to operate an open door policy of the Union with the aim of moving it to the next level.

Comrade Duguma expressed appreciation to the DG of the Corporation, Alhaji Ojo Oyila Ozovehe, the State Chairperson of the Union, Comrade Habibat Umar-Ibrahim, the immediate past executives as well as all who supported the body in achieving it’s lofty goals.

He assured the members on behalf of the new executives to justify the confidence repose in them.

While administering the oath of office and allegiance to the new executives, the State Secretary of RATTAWU Comrade Adejo Aruwa charged the new executives to abide by the constitutional mandate of the Union.
