Radio Nig Prime FM 10th Anniversary- I Will Continue To Provide an Enabling Envt for Media Organisations in Kogi State

Kogi State Government has assured of it’s continued partnership with media Organisations in the State.

Governor Yahaya Bello stated this in a message to the 10th anniversary of Radio Nigeria Prime 101.5 FM, Lokoja and the foundation laying stone of her ultra modern studios and transmitter hall on Mount Patti.

Represented by his Depuy, Chief Edward Onoja, the Governor said a conducive environment has been provided security and infrastructural wise for media Organisations to thrive in the State.

He promised of the partnership and support of the APC led administration towards the realisation of the Station’s plan to achieve set goals.

The State Government who donated the sum of #2.5 million naira towards the project said it would follow through with further support to the end of the relocation exercise.

Earlier in his remark, the Director-General Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN, Doctor Mansur Liman represented by the Zonal Director, North Central Zone, Mallam Haruna Idris said the relocation of the transmitter of the Station is necessary to allow effective and all round coverage of the 21 Local Government Areas of Kogi State.

In his address of welcome, the General Manager of the Station, Alhaji Momoh-jimoh Adeiza appealed to public spirited individuals, corporate bodies and the State Government to achieve the set objectives in good time.

Alhaji Momoh-jimoh urged the State Government to restore the retainership enjoyed by the Station as partners in progress.

In his lecture titled: “Radio as a Medium of Grassroots Orientation and Mobilization in an Election Year: A Time for Greater Community Participation”, former Managing Director, Graphics Newspaper, Mr Donatus Okpe said the role is a vital tool in the dissemination of information to the general public either positively or otherwise.

Chairman of the occasion and Member representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency, Idris Lawal in a message to the occasion promised sustained partnership to realize the lofty project of the Station.

In a remark, the Executive-Director, Engineering Services of the Nigeria Television Authority, Headquarters, Abuja, Engineer Moses Okpanachi who commended the Staff of Prime FM Radio Station for their dedication to work and the State Government so far urged the Staff to continue to uphold the motto of FRCN of a fair and balanced reportage.

Highlights of the occasion was presentation of an award excellence to Director Administration of the All Progressives Party, APC, Abuja, Doctor Suleiman Abubakar and Prince Yahaya Audi Oyidi, an APC Senatorial Aspirant for Kogi East.
