The Public Complaints Commission has called on stakeholders in the Contributory Pensions Scheme, to collaborate towards addressing the hitches affecting the Scheme.

At a Stakeholders Forum in Abuja on the Challenges against the Effective Administration of the Contributory Pensions Scheme in Nigeria, the Honourable Chief Commissioner of Public Complaints Commission, Mr Abimbola Ayo-Yusuf, urged the concerned bodies, to change the narrative in the interest of the Retirees.

Also, the Secretary to the Commission, Mr Philip Enyali, expressed optimism that suggestions and recommendations proffered by the Stakeholders, would help the nation get rid of factors militating against the effective Contributory Pension Scheme and give hope to Senior Citizens.

Some Retirees at the meeting Pastor Joseph Adeleke and Mr Christopher Ogbolu identified challenges confronting them to include late payment and deliberate attempts by the Pension Fund Administrator, PFA, to frustrate the Pensioners while accessing their Entitlements.

Other Stakeholders at the meeting unanimously called for synergy between Pension Commission and PFA’s, for effective Contributory Pension Scheme in Nigeria.
