The Federal Commissioner representing Kogi State at the National Population Commission, NPC, Abuja, Hon. Engr Yori Afolabi has described as a worthy legacies for future generation of Kogites the payment of WAEC, JAMB and NABTEB fees for over eighteen thousand students in public schools by Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo.

Hon Afolabi in a statement in Lokoja said the sustenance of a great society with a brighter future lies in its investment in education hence Governor Ododo’s approval for the payment a right step in the right direction of a Chief Executive working to restore the lost glory of the sector.

According to him, it’s also heart warming that the Governor also relieved the burden of the payment off the parents and guardians shows him as a leader who emphatise with the people and know the right policy to be executed at the right time.

” Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo has demonstrated what leadership is all about, thinking about the people on how to ease their burden in the midst of the economic challenges and also build a great State among comity of States.

The Federal Commissioner expressed appreciation to the Governor for the foresight in that direction as well as other development strides of his administration visa vis timely and regular payment of salaries and implementation of the National Minimum wage to civil servants across board.

Engr Afolabi urged all beneficiaries to justify Government huge investment in their educational career by remaining focused, dedicated and excell in their examinations and academic pursuit in life.

He called on all Kogites home and abroad to rally round the Governor to fulfill his lofty goals of a greater Kogi State.
