No Part Of Kogi State Will Be Short Changed In Census 2023- Hon. Commissioner NPC.

The Hon. Commissioner representing Kogi State in the National Population Commission, Professor Jimoh Habibat Isah has assured the people of the State that no part of it will be short changed in the forth coming exercise scheduled for next year.

Professor Isah stated this while reacting to questions on possible short changed of the people in certain areas of the State due to the flood that displaced them.

He said the Commission has taken notice of such development and make adequate provision for such as staff and those that participated in the Enumeration Area Demarcation, EAD, took cognisance of such and incorporated it in the exercise.

According to him, the use of technology has reduced to the barest minimum such lapses which would have deprive them of being counted.

The Federal Commissioner appealed for maximum cooperation from the people with trained staff that would participate in the exercise.

He restated the commitment of the Commission to a free, fair and credible exercise which he stressed will be used by the Government for National Development.

Professor Isah commended the Kogi State Government for it’s support so far especially in the area of security and called for a sustained partnership at the Local Government Areas by the Executive Chairmen.

In a remark, State Director of the Commission, Mr. Ojo Abiodun Titus said the NPC is fully prepared and ready for the exercise as the Federal Government has provided the needed materials for the success of Census 2023.

He said no household will be left out of the exercise as well as new developed area would be captured as well.

According to him, measures have been put in place to insulate 2023 Census from political manipulations or being hijacked for personal gains.
