The Chief Medical Director, Federal Teaching Hospital, Lokoja, FTHL, Doctor Olatunde Alabi said there was no time he received any directive to the effect of reinstatement from any quarters to the effect of the suspended ARD President, Doctor Umar Jimoh.

The CMD who disclosed while addressing journalists in Lokoja said the need to clarify the issues became imperative in view of some online media publications claiming he flouted the directive of the Minister of Health.

He described the publications as baseless and handiwork of detractors who knows the truth and allegations that led to the suspension of Doctor Umar Jimoh who breach all ethical procedures.

The CMD said the activities of ARD FTHL has been taken over by the National Body with a circular to that effect until further notice which makes the purported online publications false, null and void.

He called on journalists to always verify their facts and balance their stories instead of being sponsored to peddle falsehood for pecuniary gains.

According to him, his office is always open for clarifications of issues relating to the management of the Institution.

On shortage of manpower, he said it’s not applicable to the Institution alone as Government is working seriously to address the development caused mostly by the Japa syndrome.

He restated the commitment of the Teaching Hospital to sustain the synergy with all related health institutions in the State to achieve set goals and once again felicitated with Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo for the developmental feats achieved so far in the sector within one year.
