The Member representing Yagba West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon Leke Abejide has launch his empowerment Scheme with about 200 beneficiaries cutting across the Constituency.

Special Assistant to Hon. Abejide on Media and Publicity, Abraham Ibukun Eunice, the empowerment scheme was one of the many programmes launched to impact positively on the people in Yagba Federal Constituency.

She said about 2000 small entrepreneurs have also benefitted from vocational training equipment, while cars, laptops, tricycles, motorcycles, mechanical tools as well as fertilizers in bulk were all distributed by the Federal Lawmaker.

According to her, the Lawmaker also enrolled the youths in various skill acquisitions programmes aimed at enhancing thier ability and raise prospective entrepreneurs in Yagba land.

She disclosed that selected youths were equally trained and empowered through the National Directorate of Employment, NDE, in diverse agricultural extension services.

In his remark at the MEGA Empowerment launch, Hon. Leke Abejide who went down memory lane how he ventured into politics expressed and return all the glory to God for making his political career a huge success so far despite initial hitches under the African Democratic Party, ADC, which was widely accepted by the people.

He promised to continue to serve the people wholeheartedly and turn around the fortune of his people and by extension around.

The Federal Lawmaker enumerated some of his achievement since 2019 to include: yearly payment of WAEC fees for students in both public and private schools which is in the 4th phase, an estimation of his Five years projection to the tune of 375 Million Naira, widows welfare as well as provision of instructional materials to schools.

According to him, he has been able to facilitate the rehabilitation and reconstruction of roads notably Omuo-Oke road, Igbagun-Alu-Ifeolukotun(ongoing) and Iluagba-Isanlu road.
