Kogi State Handball Association Chairman, Mr. Jibril Saidu Ojih, is set to organize a groundbreaking seminar, bringing together stakeholders from the North Central Zone to promote handball development in the region.

As the North Central Representative in the Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN) and Secretary General of the Commonwealth Handball Association (CHA), Mr. Ojih’s leadership is poised to take the sport to new heights.

The seminar, anchored by the Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN), will take place on Friday, 17th January, and Saturday, 18th January 2025 respectively.

It will feature participants from the seven states within the North Central Zone, including Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, Plateau, and the Federal Capital Territory.

Each state will be represented by a coach and a referee, totaling fourteen participants.

Kogi State will be ably represented by its State Coach, Mrs. Mary Idakwo, and an energetic CAHB Referee, Mr. Abubakar.

Additionally, representatives from the Nigerian Army, Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps, Nigerian Correctional Service, and the Federal Road Safety Corps will be in attendance.

Four renowned resource persons from within the North Central Zone will facilitate the seminar, sharing their expertise and insights on handball development, coaching, and refereeing.

This event promises to be a game-changer for handball in the region, providing a platform for knowledge sharing, networking, and collaboration among stakeholders.

Under Mr. Ojih’s visionary leadership, the Kogi State Handball Association has made significant strides in promoting the sport, and this seminar is a testament to his commitment to grassroots development.
