The honour of the Commander of the Order of the Niger, CON, conferred on Governor Yahaya Bello has been described as a reward for hard work and commitment to national development.

The Chairman of the Kogi State House of Assembly Service Commission, Alhaji Andas Abdulmalik made the remark in a congratulatory message to the Governor in Lokoja.

Alhaji Andas said the honour didn’t come as a surprise giving the dedication and resilience of the Governor to good governance which he has demonstrated in the past seven years and being recognized by the presidency was fulfilling and a source of encouragement for the Governor to sustain his good works.

He expressed delight over the honour bestowed upon the Governor, saying he is proud of the award of CON on Governor Yahaya Bello which indicates that his efforts to the development of the State and the Nation was noticed.

Alhaji Andas on behalf of Members, Management and Staff of the Commission, heartily congratulated the Governor for his deserved national honor of Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) by President Muhammadu Buhari.

“We heartily commend you for your commitment and selfless service to the society so far and pray that God continue to endow you with the needed wisdom and strength in your
quest to make Kogi be among the comity of States in the nation”

He expressed optimism that the administration of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu will do well and enjoined all and sundry to keep faith with the new administration and give the leadership the support needed for a better Nigeria.
