
The Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Command, CP Miller G. Dantawaye, has task the newly deployed cadets from the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil on discipline, professionalism, and open to learning during their one month attachment in the State.
CP Dantawaye who gave the charge in Lokoja urged them to embrace the opportunity to learn practical aspects of Policing beyond the classroom.
He emphasized the importance of professionalism, discipline, and respect for human rights as they undergo practical training.
According to him, attachment is a crucial phase in the Cadet scheme urging them to use the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge to real-life Policing situations.
He admonished them to learn from both their senior and junior colleagues, engage with the public responsibly, and uphold the values of integrity, service, and justice.
CP Dantawaye assured the Cadets of the Command’s support, while encouraging them to take full advantage of the mentorship provided by experienced officers.
He also directed the Divisional Police Officers to ensure proper supervision and guidance throughout the attachment period.
The Cadets have been deployed across various Divisions and formation in the State, where they will gain hands-on experience in criminal investigation, Traffic Control and Management, Administration as well as Counter-duty.
