Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has signed the twenty twenty-two Appropriation Bill into law.

At the ceremony, Governor Bello expressed hope that the Budget will be geared towards accelerating and consolidating on the achievements made so far.

Tagged; ” Budget of Accelerated Result” Alhaji Bello said the 2022 Budget was aimed at consolidating on the modest achievements recorded by his administration in 2021.

Governor Bello stated that infrastructure and security would continue to receive government’s attention while entrenching transparency in government spending.

Governor Bello charged MDAs to abide by the provisions of the budget as government has zero tolerance for corruption.

He appreciated the State House of Assembly for the prompt passage of the the bill.

Earlier in a remark, Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Mathew Kolawole appealed to the Governor to accent to the financial management bill for the Assembly and the judiciary. 

Also, the State Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Asiwaju Ashiru Idris explained that the the budget of 145, ‪896 072‬ billion naira for the 2022 fiscal year was specific and achievable with a revenue target of 95%.
