Gov. Bello Restates Commitment To Education Sector As CONM Graduate Students, Inaugurate Projects. College Begins ND/HND Nursing- Provost.

Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello has says his administration will continue to give high priority to the development of the education sector.

Governor Bello stated this at the 6th Combined Convocation ceremony of the Kogi State College of Nursing and Midwifery, Obangede.

He said his administration in last Seven years has invested in the education sector infrastructural and manpower development wise to bring out the best in terms of graduands of tertiary institutions in the State.

The Governor commended the Provost, Mrs Hannah Oziohu Abraham led management team for aligning with the government thematic areas of the education Sector.

Governor Bello who equally charged the graduands to be good ambassador of the College and acquire more practical skills to make them more relevant in the Society assured of his commitment to the institution to achieve set goals.

Earlier, the Provost of the College, Mrs Hannah Oziohu Abraham enumerated the achievements recorded under the present administration in the institution to include; construction of more academic classrooms, modern hostels for students, rehabilitation of existing structures to make the environment for conducive for teaching and learning.

Others she noted also included, construction of faculty buildings, training and retraining of staff and welfare and the accreditation of all courses in the College with NBTE approval for commencement of Higher National Diploma in Nursing.

She expressed appreciation to the Governor for his continued support to the institution which has given it recognition beyond the nation.

Over one thousand students matriculated at the occasion which witnessed Inauguration of projects by Governor Yahaya Bello alongside management team of the College.
