FG Files 8-Count Charges Against Abba Kyari.

The Federal Government has filed an 8-count criminal charge against the detained Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP Abba Kyari at the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.

Kyari is charged alongside ACP Sunday Ubua, ASP Bawa James, Inspector Simon Agirgba and three others.

The charge was endorsed by the Director, Prosecution and Legal Services, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Abuja, Mr. Joseph Sunday.

In the charge filed among others, the Federal Government alleged that DCP Abba Kyari, ACP Sunday Ubua, ASP Bawa James, Inspector Simon Agirgba and Inspector John Nuhu, had on the 19th to 25th of January, this year, at the office of Inspector-General of Police, IGP, Intelligence Response Team, Abuja, conspired among themselves with ASP John Umoru, now at large, to deal in 17.55kilogrammes of cocaine and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under section 14(b) of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency Act, CAP N30 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004.
