Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), has urged the judiciary to urgently address the issue of delays in hearing and determination of court cases.

Osinbajo made the call in Lagos when he chaired a Wole Olanipekun & Co Justice Summit on Justice Sector Reforms in celebration of the 70th birthday of Olanipekun, also a SAN.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande, disclosed this in a statement titled, “Why we must address slow judicial process, by Osinbajo.”

The vice president described Olanipekun as “one of the most consequential and influential lawyers in the commonwealth.”

Olanipekun said the summit was organised as one of his modest contributions to the advancement of the justice delivery system in Nigeria
