Christians have been charged to maintain complete obedience to God’s word to avoid shame in the new year.

Reverend Malachi Ogakwu made the call at the Apostolic Church, Ajara at the ongoing Universal Week of Prayer organized by Lokoja Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria.

Reverend Ogakwu said obedience to God’s word and instructions are prerequisites to enjoy his unlimited blessings.

According to him, the week provides an avenue for soberness and togetherness by Christians but urged that the virtues be exhibited beyond the week

In his remark, the Lokoja Chapter Cordinator of CAN, Pastor Babatunde John Oluwole said the week among other things provide an avenue for Christians under the umbrella of CAN in Lokoja Local Government Area to seek God’s face for a fruitful and blessed 2022.

Highlights of the programme was special prayers led by Reverend Danjuma Ageni and songs ministration rendered by Mrs Cecilia Itodo, Mrs Mary Okpanachi, Evangelist Bukola Okanlawon among others.
