
People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has promised to address Nigeria’s challenges and put it in the path of prosperity if elected in next month’s presidential election.
Alhaji Atiku stated this during the PDP, presidential rally held in Lokoja, the Kogi state capital.
He also promised to complete Ajaokuta steal company and the Banda inland water port.
While assuring that the welfare of workers would be a priority, Alhaji Atiku said he would set aside ten billion dollars fund for small and medium scale enterprises so as to empower young men and women in the country.

National chairman of the party, Doctor Iyorchia Ayu said that the last eight years had been challenging with insecurity and poverty and called on Nigerians to vote for PDP for improved livelihood.

Chairman, Atiku-Okowa Presidential Campaign Council and Governor of Akwa Ibom state, Udom Emmanuel who noted that Nigeria’s rich mineral resources needed a business minded individual like Alhaji Atiku in the helms of affairs to make policies that would transform them, stressed that a vote for the PDP presidential candidate was a vote for Nigeria’s prosperity.

The Kogi state chairman, Atiku-Okowa Presidential Campaign Council and former Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris who appreciated the party members and supporters for coming out en masse for the rally said Alhaji Atiku was a unifier and would address the problems in the country.
In the meantime, the Peoples’ Democratic Party Vice Presidential Candidate and Governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa has called on electorates to defend their votes in next month’s general elections.
Okowa made the call during the PDP, presidential campaign in Lokoja, Kogi State.
Governor Okowa urged the electorate to rise up to make a positive change by voting Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in next month’s presidential election saying Atiku has great experience and was best candidate to solve the problems of Nigeria.
Director General, PDP National Presidential Campaign Management Committee and Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal acknowledged that Kogi state was unique in view of its mineral deposits but lacked the leadership to harness them.
He said the PDP presidential candidate was prepared to give the desired leadership for the country by providing enabling environment to woo investors and create jobs in the sector.
A PDP leader and former governor of Kogi State, Captain Idris Wada said Nigeria was in a very delicate situation and needed Atiku Abubakar to fix the country.
He urged Nigerians to take advantage of the extension given by INEC to collect their PVCs and vote PDP for quality and accessible education as well as youth and women empowerment.
The Director General, PDP Kogi state presidential Election Management Committee, and former deputy governor of the state, Yomi Awoniyi said the PDP campaigns have been filled with content and issue based.
He maintained that the ambition of Alhaji Atiku in the presidential race was a quest for a better Nigeria.
The Rally witnessed the defection of prominent APC leaders and thousands of their supporters to PDP amongst whom were the Former deputy governor of the state, Chief Simon Achuba, former speaker of the Kogi state House of Assembly, Alfa Imam and a party stalwart from Kogi central, Yahaya Karaku.
