The death has occurred of a mother and grand mother, Mrs Olufunsho Moradeyo, Nee Ojo-Okunade.

Aged 56 years, Mrs Moradeyo died in an illness on the 12th of August, 2022.

A statement by Mr. Adedayo Olayingbo of the National Examinations Council, NECO, National Office Headquarters, Minna, Niger State said wake for the deceased comes up tomorrow, Wednesday the 17th of August at 4pm while Burial service takes place on Thursday the 18th at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Ariyo Olunloyo Ibadan @ 10′ o’clock in the morning.

Mrs Olufunsho Moradeyo Nee Ojo-Okunade is survived by children and grand children.

In his tribute to the deceased, Mr Olayingbo described her as a virtuous woman, loving and caring mother and a worthy Ambassador of Christ whose love and passion for her family was unequal.

Funso, though you were the last born of our parents, you were never the least. You were so responsible and reliable that we find it difficult if not impossible to take any decision without you. You were truthful, straightforward, loving and compassionate. You always speak up your mind on any family issues and always quick to retrace your steps and say sorry when you were wrong.
As a family, beautiful memories are all that we are left with; we cannot forget your response to the tragic accident that led to the demise of your mother and son on the 29th of August, 2006. You braced up as a woman of faith that you were and you said “Hmmmm, Promise, omo ileri, o ye Jesu”. (That is, Promise, son of promise; Jesus understands)”. You did not allow the sorrow of the moment to overwhelm you not to pay your last and due respect to the woman that loved you and ensured that you had a son by which you could be named after.
You dedicated your life to your family – your beloved husband, and you never forgot your extended family members. You were always there for all. Very selfless and always put others ahead of your own interests. You embraced all your nephews and nieces and you made them your children. You were always going extra miles to seek their welfare.
You were not very lettered, but you were so hardworking and enterprising. You were indeed an example of the virtuous woman depicted in Proverbs chapter 31. Never too tired or sick to provide for your immediate family.
Your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ was unquestionable, even till death. You never compromise your service to God even at difficult moments of your life. You remain steadfast and you made eternity your focus.
We can never forget your contributions to the various family discussions and projects. Indeed you were God given and in God’s own time, He called you home. All glory to GOD’s Holy name.
We will continue to remember you and the good memories that we shared together as a family.
Sleep on till we meet to part no more our own sister and mother.
